I posted this in the /r/incubus too, but let's see what you guys have to say:

I've been thinking about this for a while now. Every time Incubus releases anything, plays a show or basically does anything on social media, there are a few people (a very small minority) telling them to play Fungus-tracks live.

I wonder: how many Incubus-fans actually want to see songs from Fungus Amongus live? And I mean actually see them because you think they are better than other songs, because you would enjoy them more. Not because of the rarity-factor.

The latter would be the only reason why I'd probably think it's cool to see a Fungus-song live. Because it is so rare. But if you asked me to make five different 20-song setlists, I don't think I'd ever put in a Fungus track on it because I think it's good (=better than what they've done since then). Maybe Azwethinkweiz or Version (I'm counting those since they are pretty similar in style and come from the same era), but even that: I wouldn't want to see a nearly 40-year old Brandon sing those lyrics. Can you imagine him doing Psychopsilocybin now? Or Medium (which I always thought was a really bad song)?

What do you guys think? Would you really want to see Fungus-songs because you think they are among the top-Incubus songs, for the rarity-factor or not at all?

In the end, I voted the bottom option. Like I said, the Fungus-songs would not appear in my first three/four or even five dream setlists.

Jelger you pretty much summed up my thoughts. In the moment it would be pretty cool, but if I were to write a setlist I wouldn't include any.

There are so many great songs from later albums that I would prioritize. Plus at this point it would be odd to hear.

The only song I really still listen to from that era is Speak Free, which occasionally comes on my Workout playlist.

i'm all about the funk. imo, incubus' early work is the best funk rock out there. so yes, follow one of these songs after zee deveel or switchblade. in particular: sink beneath, psycho, hilikus, and deep inside(i know. diff album)

there's an alternate universe where incubus and rhcp tour together and funk it up.

I barely listen to Fungus/Enjoy but if i have to choose one song to be in a setlist it would be Hot Dancer or Trouble in 421.

In 2000,they played Hot Dancer with a sweet jam in the middle and i can see a jam like that with Ben.

Trouble in 421 hasn't been played live since 1996 and i also see a crazy guitar solo by Mike if they ever decide to play that song again.

I think they're great songs. I still listen to Fungus, along with all of Incubus's catalog.

Trouble in 421 live would be crazy. That guitar solo by Mikey is amazing.

Would also love to see Hot Dancer, Sink Beneath the Line (I think this song would fit in with their set even to this day), Psychopsilocybin, Hilikus, or Take Me To Your Leader one day.

Damnation, Trouble in the 421, Take Me To Your Leader, Psychopsilocybin, Version, and Azwethinkweiz would all be great to see live.

I don't think it will happen this tour. Sad thing is that I just have to copy and paste the setlists from every other night on the 2015 Tour blog. Maybe one song changes ie. Stellar in Austin. The same SCIENCE song every night -- Vitamin -- love that but every night. Rolling Eyes

I think the only one I would want to really see live is Take Me to Your Leader. And to kinda repeat what was already said, I would rather see a lot of other songs before songs off of Fungus.

I've "technically" seen part of Trouble in 421 when they played a little of the intro at HQ

I don't think it's ever going to happen, but I was really wondering if people still wanted it. I hardly ever listen to Fungus anymore, except for tracks that are in my running-playlist, and I don't think I'd really want to see any of them. Except for the rarity factor, but that only goes into effect when it happens I guess. Beforehand, I'd say I wouldn't want to see them.

I'm not holding my breath to hear them again live.

However, I would be pretty ecstatic to hear anything from the Enjoy Incubus EP.

Fungus I never really listened to much. I felt the best songs sounded better re-recorded on the Enjoy Incubus EP. I do like Medium though.
