Didn't wanted to include this on the Current/News thread because i think it deserves it's own thread.
Awesome interview with Brandon and Mike at the Los Angeles College of Music
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4A7S9iu6K5I
Mike said that Agoraphobia and ACLOTM are the most difficult songs for him to play.
Anyone from Australia around here? Brandon gave an interview about Trust Fall side A on the recent Rolling Stone magazine. Tried to find it but no results. |

Good call, Jazz. Will watch that interview later, very long.
Mike has said that before that ACLOTM is probably the most difficult song for him to play. Wasn't it even rumoured that his carpel tunnel developed because of that song? (or was pushed over the edge because of it?) Surprising that they play this song so often.
EDIT: the dude at 57 minutes in is so super awkard. _________________ 30 May 2008 | 18 June 2011| 10 July 2012| 16 June 2015 |

Island Records would be crazy not to release that in the US too. _________________ 9/30/04, 1/22/07, 8/30/07, 8/15/09, 8/18/11, 8/22/11, 8/13/15, 8/14/15 |

I still think it should have been the lead single, but yeah it would make sense to release it as a single worldwide. Especially in this digital time. _________________ 30 May 2008 | 18 June 2011| 10 July 2012| 16 June 2015 |

Great interview, especially the details about INNW?
I've always felt like Incubus albums were like photographs..a captured moment in time that reflects whatever they are going through during the recording process. What Brandon said just confirmed that. It seems like the guys were going throught some heavy stuff and it showed in the music, which I appreciate. The new EP feels like the weight of the world is off of them and they are having fun. _________________ -Brandi

Wonder how much of the interpersonal issues relate to the band (Ben seeming less involved at the time, even hinting at a future without Incubus after his Europe solo tour) and how much to the management. _________________ 30 May 2008 | 18 June 2011| 10 July 2012| 16 June 2015 |

Excellent interview. Very interesting to see how the INNW period was perceived by the band themselves following that time. |

It's crazy how noticeable it was that the band were having more fun during their 2012 European tour in comparison to 2011.
They also took over iheartradio's twitter page on Tuesday - not informative at all but some quite funny responses. _________________ Ebbsfleet United fan.

Yeah man, definitely. It's a shame there aren't any videos of Sick Sad Little World in Tilburg, where I saw them in 2012, that show Ben. At one point during the bridge he was sitting on his knees, facing Mike, doing a weird knee dance and at the 10:00 mark in this video he flies into view, dancing all over the stage. To think that he was sitting during parts of the 2011 shows...

It's good to know that they also think INN,W? was...not up to par (to say the least).
Absolution Calling and Trust Fall have me as excited as I was when Anna Molly, Dig, Rogues & Look Alive first came out. That was fucking 8 1/2 years ago now. I knew they still had it in them and I'm glad that they seem to be cognisant of it as well. |

Great interview, but it hurt me to read the interviewer say that he "knows" INNW didn't have a title track. It's a fantastic song. I don't think I would have been able to not correct him if I were Brandon. _________________ June 30, 2004 - Hershey, PA

Mostly positive, good to see given how divided everyone seems to be on the EP. I think I only saw one bad review in the bunch, and it wasn't all that bad (5 out of 10 for the tracks being hit or miss). |

Based from what I read, I think the 'dark time' happened a few months after INNW's release (after it got really bad press).
I'm even sensing another 'dark time' happening after the release of Absolution Calling's music video since almost everybody hated the video. I believe Brandon (or was it Mike) tweeted about the criticism at one point.
Well, at least now we know the guys aren't immune to criticism. |
