I remember that day well. Seven years, yikes. I will be enjoying it in it's entirety at considerable volume later!

To this day, I still relate the release of Crow with a superiorly shitty time in my life and have a very hard time not being reminded of bad times when I hear certain songs, despite my efforts to hear them in a new light every time I listen to them... But you know how it is with music...when a memory gets attached to that shit, good luck shaking it off.

It really burns my ass that what I know is a great album by my favorite fucking band will probably be forever tainted for me. What a piss off.

Happy Birthday, Crow! meh.

Bring on the new album.

Crow, the only track I skip is number eight. That's it. To this day it's the only Incubus song I won't listen to. And I really don't know why! It just...you know how something just rubs you the wrong way? Well that's what this song does to me. Haha. Although, I do still appreciate it from a music and art merit. Just can't listen, haha!

Well I like track 8. I don't find it that appalling.

...wow, you guys must really hate it to not even be able to call it by name... "track 8" (=southern girl) lol ...not the worst song they've ever done, imo.

I don't know why I didn't call it Southern Girl, usually I would. Probably because I saw the above post where someone said they skipped certain tracks. I just don't know what it is about that song, man. It's the only Incubus song I won't listen to. Everything else I dig.

I skip Southern Girl occassionally, due to the fact I always think it kind of spoils the pace of the album after Pistola and before Priceless.

^ agree with that. It's got a horrible connotation for me, but I must admit it's got a nice melody and as far as Incubus' sappy-to-the-point-of-nausea love songs go, musically and lyrically, I would take it over Love Hurts any day.

What about Here in My Room.... you guys dislike that one too? I find that song's gotten a bad rap on here... (due in large part to the pink tractorbeam line, I think). It's probably one of my favorites from Crow, actually. Underrated, I think.

love here in my room, love smile lines, southern girl... not so much. I wouldn't say it's their worst though.

As much as I like the song (it has some great production techniques/turntable effects on it), I do always cringe when I hear that line.

Smile Lines is so rad live! It was acoustic in Portland at the Make Some Noise show. So glad I went Smile

i know its played at every show, and is perhaps one of the more mainstream-ish popular songs now, but....i fucking LOVE sslw. what a song. that ranks way high on not just my favorite incubus songs list, but favorite songs in general. absolutely love it.

this album, song for song, is by far their best. every song is fantastic. it has boyd's best singing and melodies, einziger's most creative guitar work and absolutely unforgettable and signature drumming from pasillas. not to mention a reinvigorated purpose for kilmore and a great debut for kenney.

my favorite album of all time.

can't believe its already 7 years old.
