I'm going as well. My friend Peter (goosenesque) told me the place is shit, though, so that sucks.
I was more excited about this show when it was going to be the last show on the tour, though.
Still super excited! _________________ Michelle

| I saw Radiohead at this place. It was one of the best-sounding venues I've been to. Although I don't know how much of that was due to Radiohead or due to the venue. |

But where did you sit?
Is the pit really insane, with people jumping into it from the front seats and pushing everyone like crazy? _________________ Michelle

| I was in the pit about 10-15 feet from the stage. It was pretty calm during Radiohead, but I could definitely see the pit getting a bit rowdy for Incubus. And I was expecting to have my ears destroyed from being so close in such a large venue, but it was about the perfect volume. |

It's because it was Radiohead. Unless they've made improvements that I don't know of, the sound here is usually average/poor, especially for "loud" bands. It's because the surrounding walls are like...ivy-lined concrete, so there is always a boomy/rattly sensation.
No big deal though, my friend went to the last Incubus show here, and he said it was pretty good. |

edit: and i saw radiohead also, it was great. i just had smoked one too many and drank a million too many. by the encore i was double vision times a million.
i've found that my best concert experience have been while i was high and not drunk.
just nothing can compare to those smaller venues... (my show in dallas was the most intimate of the tour)
regardless, i am so happy i get to see my favorite band perform. _________________ just go.

| The venue isn't that great and it's going to be HOT as Hades...but it's going to be worth it. It feels like forever and a day since I've seen them live. |

That would be something for sure....
It would have to be a MAJOR show, like a Led Zeppelin reunion show to fill that sucker up.
Is it usually a pit for SP.com?
I know it was for the last show but for some concerts that have been there or will be there soon there isn't a pit.

Smirnoff is my least favorite venue of any venue I've ever been to. Unfortunately the size is right though.
I'm sure I'll be there but if for some reason I can only go to one -- I'd rather make my way down to Houston. |

The Presale online is the 10th of May I believe.
Unfortunately work is going to kick my ass so I can't go to all three Texas shows...looks like it's ATX and Dallas for me. |

I know this surely goes in another thread or in some other place that all the powers that be have pre-decided for us. But I chose to do it here to hopefully get some help in my time of need. I was wondering if anyone else got their codes for the Dallas, TX show yet. I have emailed skyroo three times and have yet to get a response. The presale starts Tuesday and I am beginning to get a little worried.
thanks for any help you can mutter up. _________________

Nope. I didn't get my St. Louis presale code until 2 hours before the presale.
Don't know what to expect from that company. _________________ Michelle

I'm still contemplating with my sister if we're going to go the MYF route with Dallas or not.
I'm definitely doing the presale for the austin show. |
