I love the very raw stanzas. I just might give the album a go.

A lot of people on absolutepunk.net were commenting on how the new Finch song is similar to Incubus.

Since the article did in fact mention Incubus, no harm in keeping the thread here for now. Really excited for the new Finch album.

I can definitely hear an incubus/hoobastank influence, especially in the chorus. I can't remember anything finch has done before but, I'm liking this song. I hope incubus can get back to writing some simple catchy rock tunes like this..

always been a fan of Finch

definitely hearing an Incubus/Hoobastank influence as well

their older stuff reminded me a lot of Glassjaw
(I want to say that Daryl Palumbo was a vocal coach for Nate at some point)

I am a HUGE fan of Finch and I don't think the new song sounds like Incubus AT ALL haha. I know a couple of people have said this in various spots around the internet, but I just don't get it?
Also, Daryl Palumbo, did some backing vocals on 2 tracks on "What It Is To Burn" including "Project Mayhem" and "Grey Matter." Nate looked up to his singing style.
It could be the Mike Patton similarities. But other than that, I just don't see it.

That's probably it.

I do think Finch is a perfect candidate to open for Incubus in 2015.

I have a soft spot for any band who is still kicking after being down and out so many times. Alien Ant Farm is another who comes to mind.

Ahhh, Alien Ant Farm, don't get me started on them. I pledged to their PledgeMusic LAST YEAR and still NOTHING. Hopefully the album comes out later this month as promised. Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of Alien Ant Farm, I'm just sick of the delays.

Their bassist left and now he is a bass tech for Limp Bizkit on tour. Apparently AAF's agent or manager has dropped the ball over the years and he got sick of it. They're doing a full US tour right now though so I think there's hope for a new record this year.

I love AAF and they are totally underrated. truANT is one of my favorite albums and I still can't help but dance around like an idiot and play air guitar when I hear These Days, Glow, or SS Recognize

I totally agree with the love for Alien Ant Farm. It's a shame they get looked over because of the name and/or because they're the "Smooth Criminal" band.
I have always felt that the bands lyrics were great and the music is great too. I remember ANThology was one of the first cd's I bought along with getting a bunch of the Incubus cd's in the same year.

sounds nothing like Hoobastank or Incubus.
this sounds like a pretty natural (10 year) progression from Say Hello to Sunshine's song stylings.

Hoobastank...Alien Ant Farm...

This forum is dangerously low on material.

I must say listening to this, track 11 "Inferium" has a very "Tomorrow's Food" feel.
