So i was excited when i read that he is working with Incubus. Then Skrillex came, and you all know the rest of the story. So i hope that one day we will hear the Dave Sardy version of "8". I'd like to. Maybe on a 10th or 20th anniversary bonus disc. :D

I think skrillex was both hit and miss. Some songs benefited whereas others didn't. I'd like to know how much impact he had on every track to get a good feel for what he did.

I don't get the Skrillex bashing, the only song we know his influence on is Nimble. Which is surely not enough to bash his whole impact on the record.

I really like this album. It also challenges me to run 5 miles before it ends. Also, has anyone actually listened to 'Undefeated'? That song is extremely inspirational.

People call me crazy for saying I like that song more than SOTA, but I do. Is it my favorite song on '8'? No, but it's a beautiful track. It pulls on the old heart strings.

After hearing Nimble Bastard live, I definitely prefer the original mix... The guitar just sounds more full.
I have to be leaving, but I won't let that come between us.

Just noticed this but the beginning of undefeated sounds like the whales at the beginning of the warmth ... am I alone in this?

Does anyone here have the original Nimble Bastard track still? It seems to have been scrubbed out of my library and I wouldn't mind giving it another listen. PM please.

This was the version that was first released, then the band went back into the studio and re-mixed the song (and most of the album) with Sonny/Skrillex.

Funny to watch the studio videos back, the ones they posted before the album release.

Apparently there used to be a line in Glitterbomb that went: 'The road to hell is paved with good intentions'.

And a song called Connect the Dots? In one of the first videos you can see Brandon write part of the song's lyrics on the window of his vocal booth. https://www.instagram.com/p/BSGz49GhNY_ ... usofficial

I've posted this before from the Trust Fall era, but I still want to hear it finished.

I always wondered about this.

I bet theres some wonderful stuff tucked away somewhere, stuff for Trust Fall Side B. They aren't gonna release this years old material if they ever choose to put it out too so it makes me sad that this stuff is lost to time.

Makes me sad we don't have Rennie anymore either, cannot push for 'Connect The Dots' next time a greatest hits might need a bonus disc :(
