One last big amphitheater tour before Incubus & 311 are both exclusively playing casinos and county fairs.

07/02/2004 - Providence, RI / Dunkin' Donuts Center
07/03/2004 - Worcester, MA / Centrum Centre

Good lord, that’s a nosedive in quality from Side A. How utterly disappointing

Legit laughed

I do like the cover art for Side B much more than the cover art for Side A. Still, best cover art was the one for the original Trust Fall single

The TF single cover was awesome, as was Absolution. I was never keen on Side A's artwork, but this new aesthetic seems also so random and strange.

Bring back fucking Renman...

I don't think Ren would help out with these things, but I do think a proper producer could help them... I think things were starting to get stale with BO'B, which is why I was excited about Dave Sardy, but we all know what happened there...
I have to be leaving, but I won't let that come between us.

Nah, what Ren would help with was the planning of it all. I also feel, but that may be me being butthurt as a European/Dutch-fan, the band is touring the States too much and neglecting their fans in other parts of the world a bit.

Agreed with Torres, that cover art for Trust Fall was awesome. Never understood why they went with a band photo. And in regards to the producer: like JustAnotherCrow said in the other thread, I expected the band to really go wild now that they're freed from the reigns of a major label, but the outcome is so different from what I expected.

I actually found this odd as well. I expected them to go in hiding after such an extensive tour. Like, I'll be seeing the band twice, in the same state, in a span of 9 months. I don't think that's ever happened in the 2 decades I've been following this band.

Yeah, I'm actually wondering if the band is struggling with some kind of identity crisis.

I don't think that is it, honestly, because the bands seems more relaxed and more content with what and who they are than a few years back. I just think that they are in a different place than part of their fanbase expected/wanted them to be. In a more poppy place to be exact.

While I agree, it's just weird hearing about them only doing the upcoming tour if they're the headline... Didn't think they'd be aggressive like that. And the other comment about albums not making the splash like they used to... Why do they care? Figured they were more in it for the music than the popularity... They've always kinda said they make what they want to. And then these poppier songs could also indicate they're trying to appeal to the masses. Obviously all conjecture, but the ego of the band seems different.

Apparently this is actually NOT a co-headline tour and 311 is the opener along with Badflower.

I heard that the only way Incubus agreed to sign on to do this tour was to be sole headliner. Interesting.

Where did you get this info from? I fully expect this to be more of a coheadline tour than 311 opening. I would expect at least 1 hour and 15 minutes from 311. Are you saying this will be like jimmy eat world opening up for incubus... 45ish minute set?
