Beentthinking about this a little, and I'm not too keen on this singles idea... To me, it's awkward to just listen to individual songs like that, and I normally forget about them. EPs are similar, but I'll at least put them on from time to time... I just like the cohesion that an album brings. I guess we'll see how weird these singles get though. I'm just thinking if you have a few more songs waiting in the wings, why not drop them on an EP?
I have to be leaving, but I won't let that come between us.

I'm with you on this. I much prefer an EP or album to individual songs. I like to list to the whole thing rather than just single random songs. If they insist on releasing one song at a time, I'll compile them into my own EP in Windows Media Player.

The band was Beats1 with Zane Lowe and got presented with a plaque for six million copies of Make Yourself sold. Haven't found the interview yet and I don't have apple music...

I wonder if that’s 6 million sold in the US or worldwide. They usually present the plaques when the gold/platinum benchmark is reached based on units sold per country. Either way that is a fucking serious accomplishment. Makes me wonder how many Morning View has sold as of 2019 as well since they were relatively close in sales and both were 2x platinum back in the day.

Oh that's good news! Looking forward to it.

Shame the interview is only available through Apple Music.

I enjoyed that interview! Interesting take on when/how Mike wrote Drive as well as the band almost ending in 2011/12. Good stuff.

Is there a way to listen to it without Apple Music? I don't think so right, I want to hear them talk about the 2011/2012 stuff haha!

Good listen, enjoyed the part about them soundtracking the fall of the music industry. Zane seems a big fan.

I've seen a lot of speculation but nothing confirmed. Is there an official statement out there?

Oh, nice! They probably won't make it official until January when they release new music, but hearing something from a band member is great news!

I still find it odd that 311 would do a co-headlining tour for their 30th anniversary, but I'm excited nonetheless.

As I said before at Reddit, as a non-US fan I am super bummed that they're not leaving the States for their next big tour. But I guess it makes sense, since it is by a mile their biggest market.

When I spoke to Brandon at the meet and greet in Toronto in October I mentioned I flew over from Australia and he said that they would be heading to Australia in March 2020. We have the Download Festival on then but the first announcement was made last week. I think they will either be added on to the second announcement or a small run of shows which I am excited about :D

Interesting. So if they are planning on going overseas, it's possible they could tour Europe in the spring as well. They are staying busy!

This will be the first time the band tours 4 calendar years in a row since 1999-2002. With how much time they took off this decade, I honestly didn't expect this but what a treat. I hope they spend a good amount of time overseas for you folks outside the US.
