I was thinking about Vegas too. I think the first weekend could have a surprise or two since they are the warmup shows for the Australian dates. But like you guys. I don’t have high hopes to see some rarities.
It’s kinda sad to see Incubus playing just festivals on this year. It seems like people nowadays prefer festivals instead of headlining shows.
To be fair, 23 of the 30 shows they have scheduled are headlining shows. But you are right, it does seem like more and more festivals are taking over. It has its pros and cons. On the pro side, you get to see a lot of bands who otherwise might not stop in your city and discover new bands you might not have checked out in any other capacity. There is usually great food and friendly people, as well. But, on the con side, it's usually shorter sets, no real soundcheck, and if bands are playing at the same time, there's sound bleeding. It all comes down to how well-managed and well-booked the festival is.
