Am I picking up some gentle scratch-like effects from Kil during the verses? Sounds like there's some cool stuff going on inside this song and the production may be keeping it suppressed. It's growing on me already...

It's growing on me after some listens. Not to the point of adoring it, but it's a good song.

In other, sadder news, tickets are $99 for non-lawn seats? Fuuuuuuck.

Wow! Incubus day! Perfect!!

That's definitely intentional and pretty hilarious.

I never thought Incubus actually acknowledged 4/21 as "Incubus Day" or were even aware of it. Great choice for a release date though!

Also, I assume that Nimble Bastard will be available on streamable platforms on Friday.

First impressions - already miles above anything on Trust Fall, loving the fast tempo and the verses.

Not sure on the production, I do miss Brendan O'Brien for that smooth production they had, but I am enjoying the seemingly dirtier aspect of production on this one.

The middle is so good.

It's definitely fresh for Incubus too my ears, I am very much enjoying it and can't wait for an album track list. I love that they have called the album '8', it's a left turn from every other album title and better than a self titled record.

Was there a definite no on european dates in the interview?

I'll probably be in the lawn at Camden. It's the only way I'll convince my friends to go.

European dates are not ruled out. Just not announced yet. I suspect if they happen, they happen in the fall.

Also funny that people miss Brendan O'brien. He got a lot of hate for LG and INNW.

If I remember correctly from the interview with Brandon this morning, did he say this was the last or one of the last songs from the album that was made?

8 is releasing on 421? Haha, that's awesome.

As for Nimble Bastard, I wasn't very impressed on the first listen, but after the 3rd, I'm definitely liking it a lot. I was hoping to be blown away, and I'm not, but usually the singles don't do that for me anyway. Last time around, Absolution Calling was a good song, but Trust Fall I totally loved. Can't wait to see what the album is like!

Honestly, I agree with the "back to their roots" description.

Way closer to LG era at least than anything since. Yea I mean it's not SCIENCE. But I'm in on Nimble Bastard.

Gave it a few listens this morning and i like it so far. Didn't blew me away like the previous singles but it's okay. Looking forward for the better quality release tomorrow and the whole album.

Btw why in the hell are tickets so expensive this tour? Not even Tickets for Tool or Radiohead are this expensive.

I'm a fan, love the instrumentation and the energy. I also think Brandon sounds great, especially the long note at the end of the song. I had fairly mild expectations and they have been exceeded, looking forward to the album. Hate that some of you guys are bummed out by the track but everything since Morning View has been pretty polarizing so it's to be expected. I recommend multiple listens, I certainly did not appreciate it as much until after a few spins.

Is there any where I can listen to the full kroq interview online yet?

Nimble Bastard- this song reminds me of Make A Move & Look Alive, I can kinda see where people are getting a SCIENCE vibe from it maybe too you know, really need to hear a high quality version of it though. It's definitely a straight to the point rock single, with less incubus quirk than normal for sure. I'm hoping the album has that incubus vibe stamped on it.

8- curious album title, love that its out on incubus day, great that they acknowledged incubus day and fungus! I'm sure there is a reason they titled it 8 as well, which hopefully we get to hear about soon with a full interview.

Brendan O'brien- 100% happy that he wasn't anything to do with 8, don't get me wrong I actually love a lot of his work and what he did with incubus was great too, but I think he was starting to become part of the furniture with incubus. I feel that he's injected himself heavily into artists more, I think he went a bit far with sons of the sea, and wolf mother victorious, again don't get me wrong I still like said albums. Also people bitching on the self produced, incubus self produced fungus, science and make yourself and possibly most of morning view, it would be a great interview question to talk to them about what they did themselves and which producers influenced them to do what on any albums.

Anyway bottom line, incubus is back and I'm f@$%ing excited for 8 to come out! :D

421 release date eh? I wonder if they have some reggae or something stoner-related in the album. Definitely need a groovy, chill track to commemorate the release date.
