2019 Setlists

Postby Jelger » Fri May 03, 2019 1:49 am

So the little run of shows kicked off last night in Atlanta and the setlist was... well, the setlist with one very small surprise

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/incubus/ ... es131e2985

Not the surprise any of us hoped for, obviously.

Shaky Knees, one hour festival set. Decent set, but no real surprises. No Drive though.

Guess we'll have to wait till a new album cycle before we see a serious shake up.

I hope they keep the Privilege opener for a while though... Such a great way to start the set. And maybe add in Nowhere Fast.
I have to be leaving, but I won't let that come between us.

Don't know the full set yet, but yesterday at Clayton's they played at least In the Company of Wolves, State of the Art and Just a Phase (!). A little variation on the set of the past months.

Full video of Just a Phase, Brandon sounding good! https://youtu.be/9PdG0ajtORY

EDIT: Full set list, shorter than usual: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/incubus/ ... 076ae.html

This weekend (and the show in South Dakota) saw Smile Lines on the set. That and Just A Phase are pretty good additions. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/incubus/ ... 169a1.html

I REALLY hope that these shows/ sets aren’t considered part of the MY shows. If so, these sets are disappointing and I don’t understand marketing them as a MY tour.

Denver - Fillmore Night 1

Opened with a little video on MY and clips from that era
Make Yourself in its entirety
Into the Summer
Sick Sad Little World
Are You In?
No Fun
Warning

Encore
Anna Molly
Wish You Were Here

The crowd was obnoxiously loud, so they amped up the rest of the band, which made some levels not sound good, and Brandon cracked on some songs, but damn if that wasn't a great time... It was probably the best I've seen them. All in incredibly good spirits and just having fun.
I have to be leaving, but I won't let that come between us.

Really wonder if the Beyond-part is going to change a lot.

Funny that the first thing I.noticed when I saw a live video from the show was that Ben and Mike switched sides on stage.

This tripped me out a little bit too...Until I realized that’s where he was on stage during the MY era. Nice little easter egg!

Yeah, definitely a nod to that era. Again, really curious to see how the Beyond-part will differ tonight. It would really be a missed opportunity not to mix that up every night. Even if it is something like Into The Summer + Megalomaniac + Vitamin + In The Company of Wolves + State of the Art and Love Hurts + Nice To Know You tonight.

I have a feeling that WYWH will be the closer for most shows just because. It's too bad we didn't get Crowded Elevator last night... If that happens tonight, I'll definitely be upset.

Also, should we start a thread for setlist discussion and keep this for setlists only?

Yeah, good idea. And WYWH will probably be the closer, yeah. It's such a huge hit. Most curious about whether or not they'll drop Anna Molly for a show, because I'm pretty certain they have hardly ever done that since the song was released.

I don't think they should drop Anna Molly... It's always got great energy live.

Into The Summer, Vitamin, Dig, State of the Art, Megalomaniac and Wish You Were for night 2. Possibly a song missing, since it's a song less than the night before.

EDIT: As I suspected, Wolves was also.played.
