For anyone still wanting the snippets, I did my best to record and upload them:

https://soundcloud.com/nicolas-alejandr ... 8-snippets

Sorry if any computer sounds got mixed in.

Fair warning: They are fairly long, like 1:30 each, so if you don't want too much spoiled, stay away!

So excited for this album !

This is so true. It's like a hybrid of Crow (Made for TV Movie) and LG (A Kiss To Send Us Off), but somehow, still fresh and unexpected.

This one is gonna be on repeat until the album comes out!!

I like what I'm hearing, the songs resemble past songs at different parts. That When I Became A Man song though, haha

Long time lurker...a decade plus. Been listening to Incubus since 1999. Very excited about this new album. It seems like the album many of us have been waiting for since Crow. Knew they had it in them.

Anyone able to please send the snippets my way? Thanks.

I've heard Nimble Bastard a few times in the last week on my local rock radio station in NJ.

Don't think I ever heard Absolution Calling and even Adolescents was no more than a handful of times. NB may be a by generic but if it helps win some mainstream rock fans / reinvigorate some forgotten Inc fans that's a good thing IMO.

I caved on listening to the No Fun snippet because I'd already heard a bit from Skrillex's video. Why the hell has this not been released as a single yet? The chorus is so catchy I can really see it being a hit.

State of the Art sounds absolutely phenomenal. Love Mike's tone when the full chorus comes in.

I agree. State of the Art has huge potential and I love the subject matter....seems to be the one, or at least one of the ones, Brandon has been referencing in interviews talking about aging and obsolescence. Could be a huge hit if they release it as a single based on the snippet we've heard.

I work in a record store. I just received the official preorder informations for 8 this morning.

Universal Music will do the distribution in Europe apparently. But the release date for the vinyl edition is postposed to June 2nd.

Hopefully things might change until then...

I completely disagree, to me state of the art sounds quite sappy, like it would fit in with INNW. Same with Undefeated. I don't know, it's all a bit too angsty for me. The lyrics of Glitterbomb are super angsty as well, but at least the music is more fun.

As for loneliest, also not too fond of the lyrics, but the instrumentation sounds very interesting, I see what was meant with "Incubus in 2017" and it's a very different sound to them.

No Fun and Familiar Faces sound quite straightforward but fun. Love In A Time reminds me a lot of Zee Deveel and Make No Sound is way more what I want to hear, more experimental and instrumental stuff, reminiscent of Pathogens.

I'm just pissed that something like When I Became A Man made the cut. I'd much rather have a proper song on the album or even a longer Make No Sound.

I think "No Fun", "Familar Faces" and "State of the Art" all have single potential, but "State of the Art" would be my least favorite of the three.

"No Fun" and "Familar Faces" sound like great late spring, early summer radio hits to me.

No surprise there, since they were still mixing a few weeks back. With the huge shortage of vinyl pressing plants, I already expected the vinyl to come in very late.

Well, it is actually kind of surprising. It very rare that the release of vinyl happens 2 months after the cd. It happens sometimes on tiny labels, but not on Island.
For the preorder on HQ, there's no delay, the shipment is on april 21st. There's a lot of new vinyl factories that emerged in the past few years, due to the high level of demand.

Europe will receive it later, that's all. But these things are always subject to changes, and as a vinyl lover, I will sure preorder it via the US market.

There aren't that many new plants, right? Only plants that have upped there schedule, pressing at night and stuff. I know Record Industry in Haarlem did that, but as to my knowledge, they haven't bought new machines.

But that might sway me to ordering pre-order thing if Europe shipping becomes available... But I'm guessing that it won't, if that delay is true.

There's a lot of factories that opened recently in the eastern part of Europe.

Not that far, cheaper.

I just sent an e-mail to HQ Shop to know when the preorder for Europe will be available
