Re: News and Updates

Luckily managed to get some pre-sale tickets with o2 priority last Wednesday. Absolutely stoked that I'll be seeing the guys in September as I stupidly didn't go last time they did Manchester Apollo for INN,W.

Now this has made me a happy guy! Quite a quick turnaround if true. Glad there won't be another big old hiatus.

Re: News and Updates

Was listening to a lot of Incubus today while driving around, mulling over in my head what I'd ask them if I could. To be honest I'd kill to just sit with the guys for an hour and ask a bunch of stuff. I was especially struck today listening to Punchdrunk, it's just so grand a song that it made me q...

Re: 14th Anniversary of A Crow Left of the Murder

This makes me feel old. My favourite Incubus era, so much excitement, as well as a time before I had access to the internet at home, so finding any drips of news about the band and record was done via magazines or using my friends computer. ACLOTM is my favourite Incubus record and I don't think any...

Re: News and Updates

Is it in part the management and label too? I remember being frustrated by the old label hounding them for singles every album and cutting stuff like Look Alive off the record, but on the flip side we had Rennie managing and european dates and UK every single album run. It cuts even deeper because I...

Re: News and Updates

No one knows what the thought process behind incubus is anymore haha. Really feels like they don't take the band as seriously as they used to, and they aren't as innovative or experimental anymore. The Trust Fall Side A/B project was a cluster fuck. What ever happened to the SCIENCE guitar tutorial...

Re: Incubus Ultimate Survivor: THE LAST WINNER

I can live with Just A Phase being the winner. I received Morning View as a Christmas present in 2002, after seeing Drive & Pardon Me on TV the years before and my dad finding out I was getting into Incubus. I used to stick the CD on every night and listen back to front, and Just A Phase was one...

Re: News and Updates

I guess it's just the way things are going these days. Music is such an easily stolen disposable product nowadays, so why pump the money in for a video or record extra b sides for a single.

I really really miss it!

Re: News and Updates

It hurts how they really only threw one single out with a proper video this time. Maybe it's the model in this day and age, especially with the lyric videos being released and whatnot. I used to pine for the times where there would be multiple actual single releases, with B-sides and remixes etc...n...

Re: Incubus Survivor: B-sides (Round 16)

Shocked when I saw S2A losing. It's one of my favourite Incubus jams, was astounded that it wasn't included on INN,W and nearly wasn't even released at all without people asking Rennie. It's one of the true lost singles, that probably would have been a huge hit had it been put out as a single at the...

Re: Interviews and Magazines articles thread

I loved what Brandon said about Ben coming in for ACLOTM, and the great riffs and songwriting was a result of Ben, Mike & Jose showing off for each other in a way. Very interesting about the TOTM riff coming from INN,W times!

Re: Website music: ACLOTM

I do recall back when Mike used to be very responsive to fan messages on Myspace way back when, a few people off the forum asked him about these pieces of music and he said a lot of stuff got made around the Crow time, especially little bits and pieces like what we hear here. Nothing more ever came ...

Re: Incubus Survivor: B-sides (Round 13)

I voted Crowded Elevator. At this point I'm just choosing my least favourite of a bunch of my favourite overall Incubus songs. It's been tough ever since Follow got eliminated.

Re: Website music: ACLOTM

There's a chilled acoustic one on the main menu of the crow dvd, that was often referred to as Puzzle, the best one was the intro to the website music, like a drum roll and then some guitar being played over a beat. It was awesome and I never managed to get hold of it :( It's the one at the beginnin...

Re: Incubus Survivor: B-sides (Round 9)

How the hell did Midnight Swim beat BHI? I fell in love with MS upon first listen, and still rock to it to this day. A real underrated often forgotten track. BHI to go next. Gonna have a real hard time voting anything out after this! Incubus are one of the few bands where I love a great deal of thei...

Let's Go Crazy has gone for me. Doesn't fit because it's a cover.

I hope Surface To Air wins, it's the greatest single that never was.

Re: 2017 Setlists [Spoilers]

That new ending to Echo is amazing, I am in love with it when Brandon kicks back in with the "interesting" part during the breakdown - such a beautiful Incubus moment. These shows look a blast and I hope the guys bring it around the the UK soon, the giant screen on stage setup is so cool!

Re: News and Updates

I highly doubt they are in the studio or working on new stuff so quickly after 8. I'd kill to be wrong but where is anyone getting that vibe?

I would really like the 8 album b sides.
